PolishHops on BrauBeviale 2023

Tagged: ,

BrauBeviale 2018 gave us a lot of experience and constructive conclusions. So in 2023 we had more energy, more enthusiasm and… more hops with us!

Our stand was eye-catching. We had a huge space next to the main BrauBeviale Forum, so we were clearly visible and recognizable. Bringing our hops – cones and granulates – and a lot of beers from Polish craft breweries. Not to forger being accompanied by our close friends from Recraft, Lubrow and Alchemik Brewery which gave great support.

Of course making sure that everyone had a good reason to visit us. And it worked perfectly! We cannot forget the meaning of networking – at BrauBeviale meeting fantastic people from the worldwide brewing industry is one of the greatest perks. Talking to brewers, hop growers, malt house owners and qualified beer judges who organize prestigious beer competitions. And we were proud that everyone was delighted with our products! Cherry on top was when Polish beers brewed with our hops were awarded at one of the most prestigious beer competitions – the European Beer Star. Watching the award ceremony from the „first row” of our nearby stand was quite the silver lining.

In the New Style Lager category the bronze medal was awarded to Brovarnia Gdańsk. The winning recipe – “Złoto Brovarni” – combines four hops: Iunga, Lubelski, Sybilla and Marynka. Iunga was used for bitterness, Sybilla and Lubelski for aroma. Lubelski, Marynka, Sybilla were also used for dry-hopping.

In the Grodziskie category, Browar Grodzisk – the unquestionable leader in this category – took the gold medal. The winning recipe included Tomyski as a main hop (Tomyski is the most important hop used in Grodziskie-style beers!) and Magnum for bitterness.

Also in the Grodziskie category the bronze medal was taken by a cooperative project from Browar Nieczajna, Browar Szałpiw, Same Krafty craft beer bar, Smaki Piwa and Arecki. These awesome people used a lot of Tomyski and just a bit of Magnum hops, so the beer has an unforgettable taste and aroma. What is most exciting, it was created for the Grodzisk Beer Festival 2023 – popular and colorful event aimed at promoting Grodziskie beer in Poland.

It was a great joy to watch talented Polish craft brewers receive prestigious awards for beers made with PolishHops!

We would like to thank all our visitors, our old and new friends and our coworkers for this magnificent event! And we hope that in 2024 we will show the audience an even better side of ourselves!
